President Obama and lawmakers are now discussing driving job growth through the use of stimulus money to create additional incentives for home efficiency retrofits. We’ve seen the current tax credit programs in the stimulus bill drive home efficiency upgrades, and this program has created new jobs at BelRed. We welcome the discussion of additional resources in this area as these types of improvements save consumers money, help conserve valuable energy resources, spur consumer investment (not just spending due to the payback they offer), and create jobs in our community.
