BelRed partners with some of the best heating and air conditioning companies in the country to share ideas and best practices. We’re pleased to share that one of our partner companies, Lanz Heating & Cooling in Champaign, IL, donated their time to install two complete geothermal heat pump systems for the Montgomery family this year as part of an Extreme Makeover: Home Edition project.
When our team first became involved in the project, we learned the episode was scheduled to air at the start of National Volunteer Week, said Troy Lanz, company manager. The Montgomery family’s work with the Salt & Light food pantry is a strong testament to the power of volunteer efforts, and our contribution was a small way to say thanks for all the ways they lend a hand to our community each day.
By using the stable temperature of the ground, these geothermal systems will provide them with the most efficient heating and cooling possible for their home. The Montgomery’s home will be kept comfortable year round, at a cost up to 70% less than any other available heating or cooling system!
